Great idea… except WHO IS PAYING FOR THIS ???

WASHINGTON – The government has approved $500 million in reimbursements to car dealers for sales under the Cash for Clunkers program and dealers should be paid by late September, officials said Thursday.

Auto dealers have complained that the Obama administration has been slow to pay them for the car purchase incentives of up to $4,500. The rebates led to 690,114 new sales at a taxpayer cost of $2.88 billion.

That’s right ! TAXPAYER COST !!!

1) welfare and social programs are an incentive NOT to pay taxes.

2) Most Teachers in most areas DO NOT PAY LOCAL TAXES ! Its part of the incentive package to get teachers!

3) The hard working Americans in this country and the top 5 (ealthy) are the ones who bare the brunt of these programs. The wealthy pay too much as is and there is NO incentive for people to BECOME wealthy. Why should we work hard to become wealthy, when the government only targets you and taxes you higher rates ?

There used to be 3 levels within this country. Rich, Middle Income and Poor. The Democrats have basically done away with the “middle income” and now classify ANYONE who works hard in this country as “Wealthy”.

The Poor are people who do not pay taxes, welfare, illegal immigrants! Stand up against the tyranny of the Democratic nonsense that is full of lies and distortion!

Since one of the main ingredients of the so called “health care reform” is to kill off or deny healthcare coverage to the elderly and aging (basically everyone over 30), The Socialist Obama attacks children.

You see this is the same sort of agenda that Hilter did back in the 40’s. If you go after the kids and brainwash them, the parents are forced to comply because no one wants to hurt their children.

This is pure evil people. Obama IS a socialist and anti-american, make NO doubts about that !

WASHINGTON – Classrooms are filling up as kids head back to school, and Education Secretary Arne Duncan’s two children are among them.

In
an interview with The Associated Press, Duncan said students should
take more responsibility for doing well in school, and he called on
their parents to step up, too.

Duncan said that is the message of President Barack Obama’s address to students on Tuesday. He also thanked teachers for being “unsung heroes.”

Highlights from the interview:

Q: What was your favorite thing about going back to school as a kid?

A:
I love this time of year. I remember there was almost a smell of new
school — new pencils, new erasers, new magic markers. There’s something
magical about it.

Q: What’s different for kids today than when you were a kid? They face bigger challenges than when you were a kid.

A: I actually think there’s more at stake than ever before. It’s almost a life-or-death issue today.

For
students that don’t have a great education, students that don’t really
apply themselves — those that do have a whole series of doors continue
to open for them as they get older. And those who don’t see doors start
to close on them very, very quickly.

There’s
also a lot more temptation than ever before. I’m not that old, but I
didn’t have MTV. We didn’t have video games. There’s a whole bunch of
things today that can get in the way of students really applying
themselves academically.

The flip side is, there’s a whole set of opportunities, the Internet, chances to learn in ways that just didn’t exist before.

Q: What’s different about the back-to-school time now that you’re a parent?

A:
It’s super exciting. I have an incoming second-grader and a
kindergartner. I can’t believe they’re that old. As a parent, you just
want time to stop.

It’s the first time our kids
are going to be at the same school together. They’re really looking
forward to that. My daughter’s being a great elder sibling, figuring
out how she can take care of my son on the first day and walk him into
class. She’s a good big sister.

Q:
The president is making an address to the nation’s school kids on
Tuesday. You’ve encouraged schools to watch the speech. What ideas,
broadly speaking, do you expect him to talk about?

A: What’s so fun about working for the president is this is so
personal for him. He did not grow up with a silver spoon in his mouth.
His father wasn’t around much. There were times when his family was on
welfare.

And here he is, the president of our country, the leader of the
free world, because he received a great education and worked so hard.

He’s challenging all of us, but he is absolutely going to
challenge students and parents to take their education seriously, to
really have personal responsibility.

He really is asking students think about how critically important it is
that they do well, that they take advantage of those opportunities and
they apply themselves and they work hard.

Q: The one idea kids might not want to hear about is more time in school.

A: This is not my most popular line when I’ve talked to young
folks. But I think the idea of schools being open five days a week, six
hours a day, nine months of the year just doesn’t work for families in our country anymore.

Families are working one and two and three jobs now to make ends meet. Schools are safe havens. We want to make sure those are open longer hours, after school, weekends, throughout the summer.

I also want to make sure that our students can compete in an
international economy. They’re competing for jobs against children in
India and China. And the fact is that many of those young people in
other countries are going to school 25, 30 percent longer than our
students here.

I think our students are smarter than anyone. I just want to give them a chance to be successful.

Q: What’s different for schools this year, especially with the
recession? How are schools, kids, teachers most commonly seeing the
impacts of the money from the stimulus?

A: The biggest thing you’ll see is hundreds of thousands of teachers in buildings who wouldn’t have been there without the stimulus package. We averted an education catastrophe. We were on the verge of just a total disaster, seeing class size go from 25 to 40.

So a second-grader or a third-grader won’t know, necessarily,
that their teacher may not have been there, had it not been for this
package.

That just is so important. We have to get dramatically better. We couldn’t afford to take a step backward.

Q: What’s your message to teachers as the school year begins?

A: I just want to say thank you. Teachers are the unsung heroes in our society.

In so many other professions, you’re measured by what you get,
what you accumulate. Wealth and power and prestige and fancy titles.

Education, teaching, is totally different. It’s all about what
you give, not what you get. Helping students learn. Giving students a
sense of self-esteem. Giving them a vision of what they can accomplish.

And teachers, hundreds of thousands of teachers, every single
day, are making a miraculous difference in the lives of our students.

Q: What about for parents?

A: Parents are always going to be our students’ first teachers.
The most important thing I can do is to read to my children every
night, to not have them watching TV and to really be a partner with
that teacher.

Parents have to step up. I know it’s tough. People are working several jobs now. They’ve never been under more financial stress.

But there is nothing more important any of us can do than to
help our students be successful academically, to really let our
children know how important school is, how much we value education, and how much teachers and principals are our partners in helping our students fulfill their potential.

As we have already seen, the majority of his new “cabinet” will be old Clinton people. The same people that caused problems, did illegal things and were slapped on the wrist, the same people that got us into this mess into the first place.

There has never been a Democrat the keeps their promise upon election. Never. Yet everyone seems to forget. Everyone seems to look the other way and we get screwed everytime.

Taxes are going to go up, personal freedoms granted by GOD and backed up in the United States Constitution will be eroded further or taken away, rights will be trampled upon and worse yet, Judges that have no business calling themselves judges will be appointed to screw you more.

Take a look at Johnson, Carter or Clinton’s time in office. Its getting worse people. These people are power hungry, mad with the passion to rape this country and its people. Its called Socialism.

Obama’s disdain for the Military

Hello everyone,
As you know I am not a very political person. I just wanted to pass along that Senator Obama came to Bagram Afghanistan for about an hour on his visit to ‘The War Zone‘. I wanted to share with you what happened.
He got off the plane and got into a bullet proof vehicle, got to the area to meet with the Major General (2 Star) who is the commander here at Bagram.

As the Soldiers where lined up to shake his hand he blew them off and didn’t say a word as he went into the conference room to meet the General. As he finished, the vehicles took him to the ClamShell (pretty much a big top tent that military personnel can play basketball or work out in with weights) so he could take his publicity pictures playing basketball. He again shunned the opportunity to talk to Soldiers to thank them for their service.

So really he was just here to make a showing for the American’s back home that he is their candidate for President. I think that if you are going to make an effort to come all the way over here you would thank those that are providing the freedom that they are providing for you.

I swear we got more thanks from the NBA Basketball Players or the Dallas Cowboy Cheer leaders than from one of the Senators, who wants to be the President of the United States. I just don’t understand how anyone would want him to be our Commander-and-Chief. It was almost that he was scared to be around those that provide the freedom for him and our great country.

If this is blunt and to the point I am sorry but I wanted you all to know what kind of caliber of person he really is. What you see in the news is all fake.

According to the United States Code, Title 36, Chapter 10, Sec. 171, during rendition of the national anthem when the flag is displayed, all present except those in uniform are expected to stand at attention facing the flag
with the right hand over the heart.

“As I’ve said about the flag pin, I don’t want to be perceived as taking sides,” Obama said. “There are a lot of people in the world to whom the American flag is a symbol of oppression. And the anthem itself conveys a war-like message. You know, the bombs bursting in air and all. It should be swapped for something less parochial and less bellicose. There was a 60 minutes video recently about a seed vault for humanity buried in Norway. Built
by Norway for something like 9 million and Bill Gates (yes of Microsoft) paid or is paying for the seeds to be collected and shipped to be stored in underground vaults…. just in case…

The person they interviewed is a whacko. He stated that “back in the 1800’s there was something like 8000 various types of apples and we are killing and losing the food that we eat now. Its all going to be extinct.”

8000 various types of apples, and according to this tree hugging nut case, we’ve lose a large percentage of these apples types. Ok, anyone want go gather that MAYBE we allowed them to go extinct because they tasted like crap? Maybe.. just maybe, they were totally USELESS, just like 60 minutes?

Puh-leezzze. (rolling eyes wildly) How much more of these nut jobs from 60 minutes are we going to listen to ? I for one am tired of them NOT reporting the real news and then putting together stories that are just plain stupid.

BE a news reporting program INSTEAD of cow towing to the liberal communistic left that is all doom and gloom and never has bright ideas anymore because “we are causing the death of the world”. Oh put a sock in it already!

What the heck is going on in Washington ?
Whatever happened to “government of the people by the people, for the people”? Its now, “Government of the lawyers, by the lawyers and for the lawyers or themselves not Americans”.

We listen to the lies of those that are supposed to help us. We see nothing but negative trash on every candidate, every politician and every American that TRIES to get into politics. What the hell is going on here?

Why is it that a few years ago, there were those in Washington “predicting” that Oil prices and Gas Prices would rise.. and now we have them. Was this a prediction or the beginning of an attempt to get the people to accept the BS that is going on ? There has been predictions for the past 10 or so years that Gas prices in this country would rise to over $4.00 per gallon, because, now get this, we have to keep up with what Europe and the rest of the world is paying. Excuse me ?

I say, if Europe wants to pay $5.00 or more a gallon, let them. We need to release certain businesses to FIND more oil and not force things down our throats.

Ethanol its the wave of the future! No, its the disaster of the past ! We seem to keep forgetting what history has taught us.

Ok, back to Politicians. They are useless. Lawyers writing and amending laws for themselves. Laws that when THEY get caught doing things illegally, its a slap on the wrist. Laws that when the average Joe gets caught.. the whole Library gets thrown at them not just the Book !

Those that ignore the lessons of History, are doomed to repeat it.

Wake up people. The whole world looks to us to solve things, but hate out guts. They want to exploit our resources and screw us Americans. Hmm, sounds familiar in some way? How much steel is actually made in America anymore? Why is it you always see trucks full of trees heading to Canada?

Something is seriously wrong here and the best way to deal with it is to deal with the Politicians. We need to find people, Americans, that can get elected and stand up to these career politicians that are only there for themselves.

Oh one last thing and something to Ponder. With a great deal of money tied up in Oil these days, how much does the Kennedy family rack in from profits from the artificially inflated Oil prices?

The media hypes these people as the “royalty of America”, yet historically they made their money from doing illegal things! Want to stop some of the BS in Washington, start with the Kennedys.

Hell, I’ll bet you the price of booze goes down, if we stop one of them! These people are NOT royalty, they are trash. Exploiting America for whatever they can get out of it ! They made their money by keeping the American spirit down.
